The Adelaide Sevens provides a raft of fun opportunities for SA Rugby Clubs, so get involved in 2011!

Whether you’re a junior or senior player or a Back who excels at the 100 metre dash, we have activities to suit you over the April 2-3 weekend.

U/8’s Demonstration Matches

Want to play on the Adelaide Oval?  We are looking for young South Australian Rugby players to represent their club in a lead-up exhibition match on the Saturday of Sevens.  If you are 7-8 years old and would love the chance to play on the Adelaide Oval, then get your Club to organise a team and send us your entry form.

Parade of Nations

16 lucky 12-year-old Rugby players have the opportunity to carry a flag for one of the 16 participating countries at this year’s Adelaide Sevens.  If you would like to participate in the Parade of Nations on Saturday, 2 April, then ask your Club to send us your entry form – and don’t forget to get your parent’s permission!

Tug of War – Win Coopers for your Club!

On Saturday, 2 April, get your strongest Club mates together and enter the Adelaide Sevens Tug-of-War competition.  You have the chance to win Coopers beer for your Club, participate in the final on Adelaide Oval and show that your Club is the strongest in SA!  This competition is for senior club members (8 per team) and you must wear your club kit and running shoes.  Round up your fellow players and have your Club send us your entry form.

Fastest Club Player – $100 Kukri voucher to be won!

Think you can run the length of the Rugby field quicker than your SA counterparts?  The Fastest Club Player competition is open to SA Club players and will be run on Sunday April 3.  We are looking for just one entry from each SA Club and you will need to run in your Club kit.  So, if you’re the fastest at your Club, then ask your Club to submit the entry form and have your running shoes ready!

Club Expo Tent

SA Rugby has once again organised an expo tent within the Sevens Central Precinct of the Adelaide Oval for both days of the Adelaide Sevens.  This is an opportunity for your Club to promote itself and recruit players.  Sevens Central is in a great position and it is a terrific opportunity to round up support for local Rugby!  Clubs who wish to participate need to send in the application form.
